Grits and sausage lunch for toddler
Hooray for leftovers! I’m trying to recreate a dish of creamy grits and smoky tomato sauce with sausage/peppers/onions we had at Acorn Winery in Healdsburg this weekend during a wine country event. Zin Restaurant catered it — the dish was outstanding! I’m close but not quite there with this version; tinkering to come in the weeks ahead.
- stone ground yellow grits with cream and cheese
- sausage with tomatoes, red bell pepper and onions
- grilled salmon
- sauce pig with pesto cream inside
- red grapes
