Isn't it cute? Maybe it can be done with slices of cheese, too.

Oooooh, perdy!

I wish I had a girl and could make this. My guys would never take another bento for fear I was slipping roses into it.

Hmm, putting fruit leather on my shopping list now. Do they still make the boring old sheets of it? Any particular brand I should look for? Mostly I see "fruit by the yard" or small sticks of it--or with edible pictures printed on it--yuck! It's not something I usually buy so I'll have to investigate.
Gluten-free school lunch bentos are my focus; three children in school (6yo, 9yo & 12yo) that I pack lunch for daily, and one child (3yo) at home. I also pack lunch daily for my dh and sometimes for myself. Yes, that's a lot of lunches!

I did see the 'boring old sheets', but I don't remember where. Maybe where the 'health' food is (?).

How cute! :D I wonder if it'll work with pepperoni?
I'm just a 16-year-old Junior in highschool trying to have some fun taking her lunch to school! :3

That is... when I don't stay up too late doing homework... because then I can't get up early enough to make a good bento.... T_T

I think it would with a little fussing. The fruit roll-ups have a flexible texture, where pepperoni is a bit more springy, but I think you could make it work!
