Best Online Sources

As there are no retailers of "real" bento gear in my area, online ordering is my best option. But, I'm a little skittish about buying from some of the smaller retailers. MommaSith noted that she likes obentolunch4kidz, and I know Ichibankan is a fave. Are there any other reliable online retailers that you would recommend?

I moved this topic to the Marketplace area; keep on talking!

Also, there's a general list of online stores bento gear here on Lunch in a Box, but I don't have firsthand experience with the majority.

I have not yet ordered from this store, they just opened yesterday. They're having their "Grand Opening" specials right now.

Happy Japan

They have some really cute stuff. :) The things that overlap with what Ichiban Kan carries are more expensive at HJ, but not by a HUGE amount. They carry quite a lot of things that I haven't seen other places.
Worth checking out, at least. :)

If anyone orders from Happy Japan please tell! I am a little skittish about ordering from sites that I haven't heard of before...but they have some awesome stuff and well...I want it! :D

I really only have experience with IchibanKan, which all of you know already and I love.

I've only ever ordered bento stuff from two places.
One is http://www.jlist.com. They have really nice bento stuff here, but I'm not thrilled with their customer service. It will take about 2 months to get your stuff from here, because they're shipping from Japan. Also, I've only ordered twice, but both times I've had items end up on backorder.
The other I really like is actually an e-bay store http://stores.ebay.com/Bento-Obento-Shop. If you have a question, they reply very quickly. They have a good variety of products and ship very quickly. However, one buyer beware. I've seen items on here that I've gotten from the $1 bins at Target (like the litttle sandwich keepers). Otherwise, prices are good. Shipping is a little expensive, but I think it's worth it.

I ebay a lot. There are a ton of really cute Sanrio character bento boxes and accessories on there, and you can check the merchant ratings, obviously. The downside is that it obviously isn't so cheap, particularly since a lot of the items are shipped from Japan and Hong Kong.

I recently ordered from Sugar Charms. They have a lot of cute-type bento boxes (I had to have the one shaped like a loaf of bread) and some non-cutesy ones as well. They shipped very quickly. The downside again is that the shipping wasn't particularly cheap.

As a personal opinion, I like Amazon, and am willing to try new things from there, all the time...
I just typed in "Bento" under their search and came up w/ MANY things. books to kits to boxes to software ( I'd avoid the last one)
So if you know what you are looking for, a more detailed search may result in wonderful things.
Also good for just browsing... and if you play your cards right, you may get optional free shipping.
They (Amazon.com) has always done right by me, in the past.

I agree about the prices at the Bento-Obento shop on ebay but it was my only source for a long
time and the lady who owns it is a dear. Her customer service is amazing and I've never had
a problem.

She used to do little demonstrations on bentotv.com but she has been MIA since last August
and I don't know why

I got my first order from Happy Japan earlier this week. I say "first", because I expect I'll order from them again in the future. Fast turn around time and excellent customer service.

FYI - This set, available in a couple of colors is very cute, but TINY. And I mean tiny by bento standards. I measure the larger tier at ~220 mL and the smaller at 150 or 155 mL. It would fit inside a 2-tier Clickety Click box without trouble.
