and this isn't exactly just my gear..it is a pic that includes food. I have the lunchboxlunches thing. It actually is 'ok' for me and my son together. but i like the idea of having our own. thus peeking around the net and wound up here. i tried to figure out how to cut and paste the pic in here..but couldn't.

I'm linking to products instead of photographing my own. My husband was carrying 890ml box, but last night he melted one of the lids in the microwave and requested that the replacement have a microwavable lid to cut down on splatters. http://www.containerstore.com/shop/kitchen/foodontheGo/foodContainers?productId=10014973

He picked out one 3-cup rectangle box to see how well it works. http://www.sterilite.com/ProductDetail.html?ProductId=485&Section=Kitchenware I also had him pick out a carrying bag.

I knew that the 22-oz stonewear mugs are good because I carried one to nuke my canned ravioli in for a year. http://www.shopworldkitchen.com I was going to get some other sizes from the same line, but the oval ones were too shallow in my taste. I grabbed 2 of the 3-cup rectangular pyrex and a 2-cup round instead. I got the cheap lids with the idea that I could get the better ones if he melted these. http://www.pyrexware.com

I talked him into buying some more oven-safe lunch gear with the mention of quiches. It'll also be fun to make casseroles and savory pies.

Here's most of my stuff. One of J's boxes is missing, along with both of our Tiffins.

After months of looking around for that bread bento box, I finally decided to order from sugarcharms.com. I'm very satisfied with their service. My package shipped within a week and that is fast since I live in Hawaii. My Ichiban Kan order took almost a month! Also, the 2 bento boxes were nicely wrapped in pink tissue paper and ribbon. They also threw in some green grass baran and two fish sauce bottles not pictured.

Wow, a week shipping to Hawaii, that's fast!!
The mushroom and loaf of bread are really cute!! I didn't see the mushroom on the site, and the bread is sold out.
Thanks for the site, it's great!!

Where did you get the little containers with the kiwi and watermelon?

It's so good to hear about bento stuff and not the "...just get the fish cooked" stuff. He he. :D

I love the bread shaped bento box, but I think I have enough boxes for now. What is a tiffin, exactly?

Here are the tiffins I sell in my shop : Indian Tiffins

Here's a little history on them: Tiffin History (scroll down the page, it's after the bento history lesson)

I've heard that they also use them in China and Brazil (from customers who say they've seen something like them before).
