Bento & lunch-packing talk that doesn't fit elsewhere

Intro

Postby herjulia » Sat Oct 09, 2010 10:58 am

Hi, I'm Julia, married mother of 3, 12 yo DD, 9 yo DS, 6 yo DD. Hubby doesn't do much sack lunching.

I work full time, so the cuteness factor is a LOT less important than getting a healthy, economic, properly portioned lunch for my kids. Maybe we'll do cute stuff when they are older, or on special occasions.

I'm hoping to get ideas about recipes and cooking technique.

Hi Julia! Welcome :) I have a 12 yr. old son whom I pack lunches for everyday. I started a thread for sharing what we pack for our kids. Please feel free to jump in and post yours even if they seem mundane. Sometimes what is routine to one will be a fresh idea or reminder to another. I would love to get a little cute/creative but my son, being the age and gender that he is, keeps me focused on the practical side ;) Looking forward to seeing you around!
Come visit me at Flickr for bentos that are always gluten-free for mom and kiddo, sometimes casein-free and now always lowcarb for mom.
