Salmon & purple lunch

Salmon & purple lunch お弁当

Purple cauliflower (a nod to drv1913 on Flikr), raisins, English muffin, cherry tomatoes, wild salmon, and sauteed chili/garlic asparagus and orange bell peppers. Under the raisins is a container of mustard/fennel/cream sauce for the salmon and cauliflower. Packed in my new 810ml box (pretty big, but not huge).

Wrap snack bento for mom/toddler

Yesterday I discovered that my son would eat sandwich wraps, but only if he got it in one big wrap, without being cut into little bite-size servings. So this one was a real quickie — threw together a ham, cheese, and roasted bell pepper wrap, and some blueberries, tomatoes and Laughing Cow cheese. We split it in the morning while we were out running errands. Packed in my two-tier 600ml box.

My husband also got a salad with toppings of red bell pepper, feta, toasted pine nuts, green onions and kaiware (daikon sprouts). Vinaigrette is in the sauce container with the chicken.Packed in our Nissan Stainless thermal lunch jar.

Tarako spaghetti x 3 bentos

Sadly, today I accidentally cracked the lid of the blue bento box below. At 490ml, it was the perfect size one-tier box for me… *sniff*

Tarako spaghetti with red peppers, onions, kaiware (daikon sprouts) and kizami nori. I’ve got nectarines in a separate container, and my son has Laughing Cow cheese in his. Everything in the toddler bento is cut smaller. My husband got his bento in a larger box behind the cut.

Tricolor lunch

I gave stewed collard greens a new look by scrambling them with an egg. This lunch reminds me of a Japanese tricolor soboro bento, but with different flavors. Packed in my Lock & Lock bento set.
